Job Title: Science and Technology Manager

Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Science and Technology Manager to join their business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Expand a robust network of industry contacts to facilitate the management and growth of new and existing projects.
* Develop cross-functional collaboration internally and externally, leveraging category-level expertise to assemble the right teams for project success.
* Lead stakeholder engagement efforts to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
* Manage science and technology initiatives within the business, driving innovation and efficiency.
* Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills, particularly in funding applications and external representation
* Understand and navigate the business environment, anticipating impacts on projects and identifying areas of emerging opportunity.
* Apply sharp problem-solving skills to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities.
* Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously, contributing significantly to the strategic direction of the business.
* Serve as an internal consultant on food science and technology
Qualifications & Skills:
* Strong foundation in science, food manufacturing, food engineering, and agri-food supply systems.
* Understanding of global challenges, climate impact of food, health, nutrition, and alternative manufacturing methodologies.
* Ability to anticipate future consumer needs and market trends, aligning projects with evolving demands.
* Awareness of decarbonisation technologies and their relevance to sustainable food manufacturing.
* Financially aware, with the ability to manage budgets and project resources effectively.
* Professional presentation skills, adept at communicating insights to diverse audiences.
