Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 D.O.E

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a leading facilities management company to work as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (mechanically biased).

Key responsibilities of this role will be but not limited to:
*Working in accordance with customer and employer H&S policy
*Carrying out installations, remedial and maintenance work across a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as the building itself
*Performing testing and inspecting of mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards
*Conducting routine inspections of equipment and the building, highlighting issues that may arise
*Responding to breakdowns and effectively overcoming issues
*Ensuring that all plant and systems are maintained and operated in order to provide maximum efficiency, availability and reliability
*Developing and retaining knowledge of site system failures and their causes and effects
*Taking the lead in specific jobs and directing technicians or contractors who may be in assistance
*Investigating, diagnosing and rectifying faults to a proven level of competency
*Issuing and receiving Permits-to-Work and related certificates
*Attending technical seminars and training courses as appropriate

In this role you will be supporting the manager in the day-to-day implementation of company policies, procedures and standards necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities and provide high quality service to customers.

The ideal candidate for this role will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline with a working knowledge of electrical maintenance. You will ideally have experience working in process automation, FMCG or pharmaceutical industries. You will need to have great interpersonal skills, take pride in your work and be commercially astute. You will also need an understanding of legislation and compliance, be computer literate and have a great all-round knowledge of health and safety as well as FM and Building services engineering.
