Job title: Demand Planner
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum + benefits
Our client is a successful and growing Food/FMCG company who are looking to strengthen their planning team with a Demand Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking for their next career move and who thrives and rises to challenges.
You will be responsible for managing the demand planning side of the Integrated business planning process, ensuring that an accurate future demand forecast is created against supply constraints and mitigated where possible. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and altering the forecast models, ultimately creating a rolling 24 month demand plan.
Working sales, marketing, commercial, finance and supply/operations you will be forecasting, monitoring the stock management and looking at the effects of supply variations. Reviewing micro and macro sales history trends in order to provide accurate sales forecasts will be a key focus within this role. In addition, monitoring and maintaining stock and supply updates to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained to minimise waste and maximise profit. You will be aware of promotions and future sales in order to factor these into forward planning. This role will be focused on analysis, trends and strategic thinking.
Excellent communication skills are essential and you must be confident liaising across departments, both internal and external to the company.
Ideally you will be from the FMCG food background and have worked with both long and short shelf life products with a retail environment.
You must have good analytical and numerical skills along with strong team working skills.
