Head of Innovation and Marketing
Our client is a major supplier of fresh food to major UK multiples and food service. This well established business prides itself on its forward-thinking approach and has ambitious plans to grow their business further. As part of continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Head of Innovation and Marketing to help further develop their own label and branded offer to major customers.
The role will be diverse; you will lead the ‘blue sky’ thinking with new ideas and products, working with the consumer insight teams to tailor profitable, original new ideas and take them to market. In addition you will take on the trade marketing aspects for this business, developing the website, social media presence and all the external company marketing. We are therefore looking for a highly creative individual who can balance an ambitious innovation agenda along with managing a small central marketing team and external PR/creative agencies.
This role has responsibility for leading the Innovation and Marketing team in producing and implementing strategies to promote new and existing products and technologies. You will evaluate all marketing campaigns, monitoring marketing and competitor activity with a view to the ongoing strategic development of future plans.
We are looking for an individual who is a free thinker, knowledgeable, driven, and proactive in keeping up to date with innovation, technology and marketing trends. This person will have proven experience in managing a creative and PR agenda, managing all company communications and events. This person will have excellent customer relationship skills and will be required to work very closely with commercial functions in the business units, business’ customers and external stakeholders.
